A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY...

The Beatles were a rock band formed in 1960 in Liverpool. The most prominent line-up of the group included John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and George Harrison. To this day it remains one of the most influential bands in the rock genre of all time.

Without the existence of this group of English boys, the development of the musical counterculture of those years would not have been possible. Moreover, it was thanks to them that popular music was recognized as an artistic activity.

The young people of Liverpool combined a unique style in their music. They mainly played beat, rock and roll and 1950’s skiffle. However, The Beatles’ sound went beyond that with the inclusion of classical music elements, ballads, traditional pop and even Indian music.

The band had its first public exposure in 1960 when McCartney and Lennon played at venues in Hamburg and Liverpool. At that time, they were joined by Stuart Sutcliffe on bass. The historically recognized trio Harrison, Lennon and McCartney were together since 1958.

They went through a variety of drummers, such as Pete Best, before Starr joined the band in 1962. It was in this year that the true story of one of the most popular bands in the world began.
